TRATTORIA LA RAMPA
(castello)
A the end of Via Garibaldi, just in front of the boat selling vegetables is this simple and very local lovely little family-run trattoria that serves simple, appetising food at lunchtimes. It’s quite small and very popular with the locals, especially as they have a set menu for the workers. This is one of those places that serves typical, basic Venetian dishes and is great if you want to experience living like the locals. Fast service and informal atmosphere. Prices are great and you eat extremely well for the amount you pay. Last time we went we had a lovely seppia (cuttlefish) dish made with a dash of tomatoes.
FAMILY FRIENDLINESS
We usually only go here with one kid at a time. They are extremely friendly here and I’m sure they’d welcome anyone but the tables are quite close together and it’s always busy so we don’t usually take the whole family. The toilet is clean.
