SAINT MARK'S BELL TOWER
(san marco)

This bell tower boasts beautiful views over Venice. However, the queue is often very long. Some agencies sell tickets where you can skip the queue.

The views are spectacular. You can see all over the lagoon and right over the basilica and Doge’s palace.

FAMILY FRIENDLINESS

Kids will get really squashed in the elevator to the top, and once there it is very crowded. Kids 0-5 go free (but must be held in lift by parents). It costs 8 euros per person, half price for 6-18 years.

iNSIDER TIP

For a calmer experience you might prefer to take the waterbus over to San Giorgio. The view from the bell tower there is fantastic and there are usually very few people.
