Rosa Salva
(canareggio)

You can find this café in front of the hospital.  Most cafés in Venice will serve a great coffee and brioche, so you can’t really go wrong. However, this is a particularly lovely one that has gorgeous “tramezzini” (sandwiches), beautiful cakes and pastries. All are made onsite at their other cafe near San Marco. There’s a small room to sit inside but the seating out in the square during spring and summer is a much more lovely choice.

FAMILY FRIENDLINESS

The toilet is quite spacious and clean although they don’t have a changing table. During winter it gets very packed inside as the standing area is very small – so it might be better to pay a little extra so you can sit at a table. The seating outside is on a small and busy square- lots of people pass by to and from the hospital, so it’s not ideal to let children play here unless you trust them enough to play away a bit in the corner of the square.
