RISTORANTE da MEMO
(pellestrina)

Memo offers delicious food, great service, and is reasonably priced. The waiters are really friendly and speak English and they have lots of space inside and in a covered semi-outdoor area. The “pasticcio di pesce” (a seafood pasta) is fantastic. Unfortunately it does not have the same fantastic views of the lagoon as some of the other restaurants on Pellestrina but it does have a wonderful dessert called “crema di tiramisu” where they serve just the mascarpone cream part of the classic dish.

how to get there

Pellestrina is a wonderful island in the lagoon and is definitely worth a visit if you want to have an adventure. In summer you can swim on the beach (or even in the lagoon as the local kids do). If you have a boat then you can usually find somewhere to moor nearby. By car take the car ferry 11 from Lido Alberoni. Using public transport you need to first get to Lido (lines 1, 5.1, 5.2, 6, 14) then take bus number 11 to Pellestrina (this takes you all the way down Lido island then onto the car ferry) then continues down Pellestrina. Get off at stop “SanPietro Calle Tardivi” or “Portosecco” then walk towards the lagoon.

FAMILY FRIENDLINESS

The toilets are spotless and have baby changing facilities. Lots of space for prams and children.

INSIDER TIP

They have a couple of rooms here that you can book overnight. A peaceful alternative to the centre of Venice.
