A traditional Venetian café, which is very chaotic, standing room only. It’s a bit difficult to go there with kids, but the cakes and patisseries are all amazing. They sell lovely packets of biscuits that are great for gifts, and everything is made just round the corner down the alleyway near Scala Contarini del Bovolo (you can watch the bakers kneading dough if you peek through the window). Go in and order some cakes to take away – they’ll wrap them in a paper tray and a bow and you can enjoy them later in your hotel/apartment.
