If you don’t want to travel with bulky baby equipment (or forget something at home) MamaRent is a great company that rents out all sorts of baby equipment by the day, week or month.

They have prams, pushchairs, buggies, strollers, baby slings & carriers, travel cots, high chairs and car seats. They even have clip on table chairs and bassinets and rockers.

Their staff are friendly, English speaking and quick to respond to requests. They can meet you to drop off and pick up the equipment (drop off points include the train station and Piazzale Roma as well as others on request). It’s a fantastic service and I wish I had known about it on our first trip to Venice with a baby when we brought a heavy pram with thick wheels that kept getting stuck on the bridges!

Prices are reasonable and you can have a stress free flight or train ride without worrying about lugging all your bulky baby equipment while travelling. The equipment is all cleaned and sanitized before each rental.
